Network for Single Parent Families

Offers moving services and transportation assistance to and from the local Furniture Project. Volunteers needed to help with moving. Hosts monthly meetings where single parents can connect. Habitat for Humanity

The Free Mental Health Clinic

Needs Psychiatrists to provide patients with evaluations.

The Free Medical Clinic

Needs doctors, PAs, NPs, to provide patients with care and evaluations. Also needs Spanish translators, lab personnel and pharmacists. Needs non-medical personnel who would like to be trained in being patient advocates and taking histories and blood pressures in patients.

Elder Services Support

About twice a year we need people to help rake leaves, clean gutters and help with minimal home repair.

Mazatlan Medical Mission

A few times each year the Vineyard organizes a medical mission to the medically underserved in Mazatlan, Mexico. Need individuals willing to help serve both in Mexico and stateside. Need Spanish speakers, medical personnel, data entry and anyone else interested. Also need donations to purchase basic medicines (over the counter remedies) and hands to sort and pack prior to departure.

Iowa City Housing Fellowship

ICHF purchases and provides affordable housing in our communities. Needs help sporadically through out the year with property maintenance. (Clean-up, gutter clean up, etc). Volunteers can indicate interest in being part of such teams.

Environmental Ministry

What does it mean for us to fully step into our God given role as stewards of His creation? Explore this through workshops, classes, prayer groups and service projects. Outreach projects are seasonal and will be announced as they come up. Need people to indicate interest in such activities/groups.

Overflow Shelter House

Need people to provide rides and overnight supervision at church sites hosting local men, women and families in need of temporary shelter. (October- March)

International Student Ministry

To welcome international students and to provide a place for them to find community when they are far from home. This might include sharing meals over holidays, practicing English with them or helping new students to adjust to life in Iowa City through practical tasks like taking them grocery shopping or picking them up from the airport.
