Why We're Here:
We're betting that there are people in Iowa
City/ Coralville and the surrounding areas who are
interested in God, in spiritual things, even in Jesus, who don't go to
church. Not that church is the only place to find God, but it has been the
traditional place.
For many, the traditions and structure, the "religion" of
Christianity, have always done what they were meant to do - point the way to
Jesus and help make sense of the world. For others, the religion never got
connected to anything real - real life, real spirituality, or the real Jesus.
We're betting that by letting go of whatever is not essential and just
looking at Jesus - what he said, what he did, and how he lived - you'll meet
someone you've never met before. Maybe you'll even like him.
