Next Mission Trip

We have the dates set for our next two Mazatlan Medical Mission trips. They are Sept 18-25 and Dec 31-Jan 7. Due to rising fuel costs affecting airplane tickets, we would like to buy tickets as quickly as possible for the next two trips. If you have any interest at all in going, please contact Bill and Katie Iverson asap. Their number is 358-9108. The total cost of the trips will be around $1100. We have life changing experiences each and every time we go to Mazatlan. Everyone is welcome. No medical background is necessary. Please take a chance and come with us. God will do amazing things in your life on these trips.

Save the date!!

We  will be having an all church picnic on Sunday, September 7, 2008, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the East Overlook Shelter #3.   We will also be holding baptisms at this event -- please contact Mim Winn if you're interested in being baptized.  East Overlook is the park at the top of the Coralville Dam, just east of the dam, immediately to your right after you cross over the dam or just to your left right before you cross the dam if you're coming from the east. It has a large shelter, bathrooms and a playground on the premises.  So bring a dish to share & join us in the fun & fellowship!

Women's Retreat 2008--Finding God in Every Day

Make way for this year's Women's Retreat! Please join us the weekend of September 19 & 20 (Fri evening - Sat afternoon) for an incredible time searching out how to find God in the mundane and in the profound, in the every day of our lives. We'll have a guest speaker, bible study, great food, worship and community. No matter if you are 42 or 22, are in the season of diapering or dissertation writing (or both!), or are a student, a single, or married, this respite was designed with you in mind. Registration ends Friday, September 12th. See the back of the gym for the sign-up table. Call Janel with further questions: 665-2246

Getting Involved:

Volunteers Needed in Nursery

We are looking for a few volunteers to help out in the Nursery upstairs once every four weeks. The duties would include playing and reading to our little ones. It's a great way to get to know some of God's littlest servants and to get involved here at the church. Please see Dani Watson at the back of the room on Sunday morning, following the service for more information.

Volunteers Needed in Toddler Room

We are looking for a few volunteers to help out in the Toddler Room upstairs every five to six weeks.  The duties would include playing, romping & reading to our little ones.  It's a great way to get to know some of God's littlest servants and to get involved here at the church.  Please contact Dani Watson for more information.

New Small Groups
Be sure to check out the variety of Small Groups offered through the Church, new ones are added often. They're a great way to get plugged in, so find the one that's right for you and contact the leader for more information.
